I purposed, before the birth of my daughter, to be the kind of mom I'd long wanted to be. At all costs. Unbeknownst to her, my daughter had thrown me a challenge. I needed to use my God-given talents and life's passions to be productive while still working around her needs and her schedule. Here are some daily adventures and small successes.

That dog again

One of my favorite chick-flics -- mainly because it is peppered with cute, random divulgences -- is You've Got Mail.

Am reminded of this snippet often:
Brinkley is my dog. He loves the streets of New York as much as I do although he likes to eat bits of pizza and bagel off the sidewalk, and I prefer to buy them. Brinkley is a great catcher, was offered a tryout on the Mets farm team…but he chose to stay with me, so that he could spend 18 hours a day sleeping on a large green pillow the size of an inner tube.

Why am I reminded, you ask? Because I get 18 daily hours of this...

(Except when no one's home. That's when he gets on the couch. And sheds his entire coat.)

2nd child.
