I purposed, before the birth of my daughter, to be the kind of mom I'd long wanted to be. At all costs. Unbeknownst to her, my daughter had thrown me a challenge. I needed to use my God-given talents and life's passions to be productive while still working around her needs and her schedule. Here are some daily adventures and small successes.

Smooshy lil' thing - Montreal's South Shore newborn photographer

There exists a tradition in the Chinese culture, when a new life comes into the world. Mama and baby make every effort possible not to leave the house for a full month.

Let's be real here. Many of us want to keep the going-out to a minimum during those first few weeks anyways. We're sleep deprived. We don't fit into our best clothes. And our hair is...doing...something. Many of us would rather stay home.

Guess what? That's OK with me. I'll meet you there. Just like I did for this little one...

Just gimme a window with some natural light.
